The Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA), one of the premier Air Force associations, has teamed up with one of the nation’s first completely online universities, Columbia Southern University (CSU), as one of its newest Learning Partners.
"Partnering with Columbia Southern University will give our members and their families an advantage when pursuing higher education," CMSgt (Ret.) AFSA Chief Executive Officer Doc McCauslin said. "The Air Force Sergeants Association always offers wonderful benefits to its members and CSU fits perfectly with that mantra."
As a partner, AFSA members, their families, and employees will receive a 10 percent tuition discount and waived application fees. More than half of the student body at CSU is military, creating an easy relationship between the school and the association.
Since 1961 AFSA has served as the voice of enlisted airmen. They protect and promote the benefits and rights of the Air Force Active Duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve Command. The association boasts nearly 130,000 members, all of which can benefit from the partnership.
"Partnering with Columbia Southern University provides a great benefit to companies, organizations and association benefit packages," Chantell Cooley, Vice President of Partnership Development, said. "CSU has about 1,500 partners and everyday we introduce more to the advantages of teaming with us."
