President
Robert Mayes, Jr., co-founder and president of Columbia Southern University (CSU), is a pioneer in online education with more than 15 years of experience in the distance learning industry. He has served as President of CSU, one of the nation's first online universities, since 2005. CSU was originally established in 1993 by his father, Dr. Robert Mayes. Robert holds an MBA from Capella University and serves as a Team Evaluator for the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). He also serves on the DETC Business Standards Committee and is a board member for the Alabama Gulf Coast Area Education Foundation.
